Amish Friendship Bread Starter

Starter for Amish Friendship Bread
- 1 Package Active Dry Yeast
- 1/4 Cup Warm Water
- 1 Cup White Sugar
- 1 Cup White Flour
- 1 Cup Warm Milk(110ish Degrees Fahrenheit
- Combine yeast with 1/4 cup warm water(make sure the water is fairly warm. About the temperature you would use to wash your face). I like to add a pinch of sugar as well. Set aside and let proof for 10 minutes. When the yeast is frothy and active add sugar and flour. Add milk a little at a time and stir until combined. The mixture may be a little lumpy. That’s ok. Pour the mixture into a gallon size ziplock bag. Remove the air before sealing.
