Festival of Holidays Food Booths and the Sip and Savor Pass

The Festival of Holidays features a variety of themed food booths around Disney California Adventure, each with its own festive flavors and drinks. Every booth has two lines — one for ordering and one for picking up food.

Here’s a time-saving tip: you can order everything you want to try at one of the Festival of Holidays booths, pay for it all at once, and then keep your receipt. Throughout the day, just show your receipt at the pickup line for each booth to grab your food. It’s such an easy way to skip the longer ordering lines and enjoy more of the festival.

If you plan to try several items, it’s worth considering a Sip and Savor Pass. The pass comes with digital coupons you can redeem for tasting-size portions of food or nonalcoholic drinks at participating booths. You’ll pay a flat rate up front, and it can be a good value if you’re sampling multiple items. It’s also shareable and valid for the entire festival, so you can use it over multiple visits. You don’t need a Sip and Savor Pass to enjoy the festival though. I usually don’t buy one.

What’s the Hype About Disneyland’s Candy Canes?

Disneyland has been making candy canes by hand since 1968, with each piece being a labor of love. These oversized candy canes are known for their rich peppermint flavor, beautiful red-and-white twists, and a nostalgic holiday appeal. Since they’re made in limited batches and are available only on select dates, they’ve become a collector’s item for Disneyland fans and holiday enthusiasts alike.

Where Can You Get a Disneyland Candy Cane?

Handmade candy canes are available at two spots in Disneyland Resort:

1. Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park.
2. Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure.

Each park offers candy canes on different dates, so planning is essential!

1. Know the Dates

Disneyland typically releases the holiday candy cane dates in advance, often in November. These dates vary each year, and the candy canes are usually available on select mornings only, so it’s best to plan your visit accordingly. These are the dates for the 2025 season.

Disneyland at Candy Palace 

November 28 and 30, December 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 22, and 24 

In Disney California Adventure at Trolley Treats 

November 29, December 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 23, and 25

2. Arrive Early!

Since candy canes are limited to a certain number per day, it’s essential to arrive early. Guests start lining up before the park opens to get on the mobile wait list. You must be on the list to purchase a candy cane. Try to be at the gates at least 60 minutes before park opening, especially if you’re visiting on a high-demand day.

3. Get On The Mobile Waitlist

As soon as the park opens, head straight to Candy Palace or Trolley Treats and look for a Cast Member holding a sign. They’ll guide you to form a line and provide a QR code to join the mobile waitlist.

Scan the QR code, add your name and phone number, and you’ll receive a text confirming your place in line along with your return time. Be aware that each guest is limited to one candy cane per day, so everyone in your group will need to join the waitlist individually if they’d like their own candy cane.

The most critical part of this process? Arrive before the park opens! Candy canes are extremely popular and spots on the waitlist fill up FAST.

4. Picking Up Your Candy Cane

Once you’ve secured your spot on the mobile waitlist, go about your day enjoying the park! You’ll get a text when it’s time to pick up your candy cane. Once you get the text, head back to the designated location with your wristband and purchase your treat. Each candy cane costs around $25 and you’ll want to savor every pepperminty bite—or save it as a cherished souvenir!

Tips for a Successful Candy Cane Hunt

• Arrive Early
  Plan to arrive at least an hour before the park’s official opening time. Disneyland allows guests to enter the gates 30 minutes before the park opens, so being early ensures you’re ahead of the crowd.
• Know Where to Go
• At Disneyland, head to Candy Palace on Main Street, U.S.A.
• At Disney California Adventure, go to Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street.
• Look for Cast Members directing guests or wearing candy cane signs. At Disneyland, the line typically forms on the left side of Main Street, along the sidewalk leading up to Candy Palace.
• Stay Together
  Ensure everyone in your party who wants a candy cane is with you. Each person must join the virtual waitlist individually using their own name and phone number.
• Be Ready to Scan the QR Code

The 2026 holiday season begins on November 18, 2026. Disney has not announced the final end date yet, but the celebration normally continues into early January. Entertainment, food and character schedules can change, so use the Disneyland app during your visit instead of planning around an exact time you found online.

Is it actually worth visiting Disneyland during the holidays? I think it is, especially if you care about the atmosphere as much as the rides. If your only goal is riding as many headliners as possible with the shortest waits, I would choose a less popular season. But if you want Disneyland and Christmas wrapped into one trip, this is hard to beat.

10 Reasons to Visit Disneyland During the Holidays

1. The Decorations Change the Entire Resort

The decorations are the first reason I love Disneyland at Christmas. Main Street, U.S.A. has its giant tree, garlands and decorated windows. Sleeping Beauty Castle is covered in wintry details, and each land gets decorations that actually match its theme. It is not the same wreath copied and pasted everywhere.

Toontown is playful, New Orleans Square feels elegant and Cars Land turns car parts into some of the cutest Christmas decorations in the resort. Slow down enough to notice the details. If you spend the whole day staring at wait times on your phone, you will walk right past half the reason you came.

My tip: See the decorations during the day and again after dark. They feel completely different once the lights come on.

2. Two Classic Rides Get Holiday Makeovers

Haunted Mansion Holiday combines The Haunted Mansion with Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington, Sally and the rest of the crew take over the mansion, and the giant gingerbread house in the ballroom changes every year. It is a completely different experience from the classic attraction.

“it’s a small world” Holiday is the other big seasonal attraction. The inside adds holiday music and decorations from around the world, but the outside may be my favorite part. Thousands of lights cover the façade, and it is absolutely worth returning after dark even if you already rode during the day.

Haunted Mansion Holiday no longer requires the old virtual queue mentioned in the previous version of this post. Use the current standby line or Lightning Lane Multi Pass when offered, and check the Disneyland app for availability.

3. A Christmas Fantasy Parade Feels Like Classic Disneyland

A Christmas Fantasy Parade is scheduled to return on November 18, 2026. It has toy soldiers, gingerbread cookies, reindeer, Disney characters and Santa Claus in the grand finale. It is cheerful, a little nostalgic and exactly what I want from a Disneyland Christmas parade.

I like watching near “it’s a small world,” but the best location depends on what you want to do before and after the parade. Do not cross the entire park for one perfect viewing spot if your family is already happy where you are.

My tip: Check the app for the current parade schedule. It may not run every day, and showtimes can change.

4. The Parks Are Even Better After Dark

Disneyland is always beautiful at night, but the holiday season takes it to another level. Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle sparkles, “it’s a small world” glows and Main Street is covered in lights. This is not the season to leave at 5 p.m. because everyone needs a nap.

Believe…In Holiday Magic fireworks and the Wintertime Enchantment castle lighting are scheduled to return in 2026. Snow may fall after select nighttime moments in designated areas around Disneyland. Fireworks and outdoor entertainment can be modified or canceled, so I never promise my kids that a specific show will happen until I see it on the app that day.

My tip: If your family needs a break, take it in the afternoon and come back after dark. The lights are worth saving some energy for.

5. Disney Festival of Holidays Celebrates More Than Christmas

Disney Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure on November 18, 2026. This is one of my favorite parts of the season because it celebrates several cultural traditions through food, music and live entertainment.

The Festive Foods Marketplace is a big draw, but do not rush past the entertainment. Disney ¡Viva Navidad! is scheduled to return with musicians, dancers, Disney characters and giant mojiganga puppets. The Holiday Toy Drummers and other performers make Paradise Gardens Park feel like a celebration instead of just a place to buy snacks.

My tip: Check the app when you arrive and build your afternoon around the entertainment you care about. Do not use old showtimes from a blog post, including mine. Schedules change.

6. Cars Land Does Christmas Its Own Way

Cars Land is one of the best-decorated areas at the entire resort. The residents of Radiator Springs use traffic cones, tires, oil cans and car parts to create their version of Christmas. The details are clever, and my family always finds something we missed the last time.

Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree becomes Mater’s Jingle Jamboree, and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters becomes Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl. The rides get seasonal music and just enough Christmas spirit to make them feel special without changing what families already love about them.

My tip: Be in Cars Land around sunset if you can. Watching the neon turn on and then seeing the holiday lights is one of my favorite California Adventure moments.

7. The Holiday Food Is Part of the Experience

Disneyland rolls out a huge seasonal menu every year. You may find gingerbread, peppermint treats, specialty churros, festive drinks and foods inspired by the celebrations represented at Festival of Holidays. The exact 2026 menus have not been released yet, so I am not going to pretend last year’s peppermint dessert is guaranteed to return.

Once Disney releases the menus, I update my Disneyland holiday foodie guide with the current options and a printable. Print it, highlight the foods your family wants to try and check them off as you go. Otherwise, you will remember that one churro you wanted at the exact moment you are back at the hotel.

My tip: Mobile order popular quick-service foods earlier than you think you need to. Holiday return windows can move later on busy days.

8. The Characters and Santa Bring Extra Holiday Magic

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends wear seasonal outfits around the resort. I love getting holiday character photos because they feel different from the pictures we take during the rest of the year.

Santa is scheduled to visit Fantasyland Theatre, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and all three Disneyland Resort hotels in 2026. Redwood Creek is my favorite because it feels like a full experience instead of a quick picture. The trail includes seasonal games and activities, and kids have room to move around.

9. You Can Enjoy Holiday Magic Without a Park Ticket

Not every holiday moment requires theme-park admission. Downtown Disney gets its own decorations, food and entertainment, and Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail is scheduled to return in 2026. Families can search for ornaments hidden on decorated trees throughout the district.

The Disneyland Resort hotels are also worth visiting for their decorations. Santa is scheduled to make appearances at all three hotel lobbies, and those visits do not require theme-park admission. Confirm the hotel schedule before making a special trip because appearance times can be limited.

My tip: Add Downtown Disney or a hotel visit to your arrival day, departure day or a day when you are taking a break from the parks. It is a nice way to extend the holiday feeling without buying another park day.

10. It Creates the Kind of Memories You Actually Keep

The final reason is not an attraction or a snack. It is the way the whole trip feels. Maybe your family takes a picture by the same tree every year. Maybe your kids wave to Santa in the parade, try a new holiday food or stay awake long enough to see the snow on Main Street.

These are the little moments I remember long after I have forgotten how many rides we completed. I love a good touring strategy, but I do not want a perfect ride list if everyone was too rushed to enjoy Christmas at Disneyland.

My tip: Pick three holiday priorities before your trip. Not ten. Three. Anything else you fit in is a bonus.

Is Disneyland During the Holidays Worth It?

For me, yes. I love the decorations, seasonal attractions and entertainment enough that the holiday crowds are worth planning around. But I also go in knowing that I will not ride everything.

The holiday season may be right for your family if you want the full Christmas atmosphere and are willing to arrive early, prioritize and take breaks. If your family cares mainly about rides or gets overwhelmed by busy walkways, a quieter season may be a better fit.

How I Would Plan a Holiday Day

1. Arrive early and complete one major ride priority first.
2. Stay in the same area instead of crisscrossing the park.
3. Use Lightning Lane Multi Pass where it saves meaningful time.
4. Slow down during the busiest afternoon hours for food, characters and decorations.
5. Save energy for nighttime lights and entertainment.

You do not need a minute-by-minute schedule. You need a few priorities and enough flexibility to change the plan when a ride goes down or someone suddenly decides the only acceptable lunch is a corn dog.

The good news is that you do not need a minute-by-minute schedule. You just need to know which rides matter most to your family, where to start and when to change the plan. Disneyland’s 2026 holiday season begins on November 18, 2026. Disney has not announced the final end date yet. Start With One Priority

Before you decide what to rope drop, ask everyone in your group one question: Which ride would you be most disappointed to miss? That answer should shape your morning. Trying to race to every headliner at once is how you end up walking all over the park and feeling behind before breakfast.

Here are the Disneyland rope-drop options I would consider:

• Holiday attraction priority: Start with Haunted Mansion Holiday, then stay around New Orleans Square and Bayou Country for nearby rides.
• Thrill-ride priority: Choose Indiana Jones Adventure or Space Mountain first. Pick one, then work through the attractions near it.
• Tiana’s Bayou Adventure priority: Head there first if this is a must-do for your family, then stay on the west side of the park.
• Family-ride priority: Start in Fantasyland with Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo or Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, then keep working through nearby rides. I do not love using the best part of the morning on Peter Pan’s Flight because the line builds so quickly and moves slowly. I usually save it for later at night.
• Galaxy’s Edge priority: Go to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance first if it is essential to your day. I would protect Rise before Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run because Rise stays busy and can close before the rest of the park.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Matterhorn Bobsleds and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad can also be smart early choices. The right answer depends on your family. There is no single rope-drop ride that works for everybody.

My California Adventure Rope-Drop Strategy

At Disney California Adventure, I would choose one of three directions:

• Radiator Springs Racers: Rope drop it if riding together is a top priority and you do not want to buy Lightning Lane Single Pass. Single Rider can be another option later, but your group will be split up.
• Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!: This is a strong first stop for thrill-ride fans. Afterward, stay nearby for WEB SLINGERS, Monsters, Inc. and Avengers Campus.
• Pixar Pier: If your family wants Toy Story Midway Mania, Incredicoaster and the smaller pier rides, start there and enjoy several attractions without bouncing across the park.

Cars Land is gorgeous at night during the holidays, so I like to return after dark even if I ride Radiator Springs Racers in the morning. Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree are cute seasonal touches too.

How to Use Lightning Lane Multi Pass During the Holidays

Lightning Lane Multi Pass can save a lot of time on a busy holiday day, but only if you use it with a plan. You can add it to eligible tickets before your visit or purchase it after you enter a park, subject to availability. Once you are inside, you can make your first selection in the Disneyland app.

You can make another Multi Pass selection after you use your current selection or after two hours have passed, whichever happens first. You can also modify a selection in the app. That is helpful when plans change because, trust me, plans change at Disneyland.

What Should Your First Lightning Lane Be?

At Disneyland, I usually look first at the attractions whose return times tend to move later quickly:

• Indiana Jones Adventure
• Space Mountain
• Haunted Mansion Holiday

At California Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy, Toy Story Midway Mania and Soarin’ are often worth watching. Availability changes by day, so check the app instead of relying on a fixed list.

Do not grab a Lightning Lane randomly just because it has the soonest return time. Look at the standby wait, the return time and where you will already be. Saving 50 minutes is much more useful than saving 10, especially if the shorter savings require a long walk across the park.

Each included attraction can be used once per day with Multi Pass. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers are not included in Multi Pass; they use separate Lightning Lane Single Pass purchases. Offerings and availability can change, so check the Disneyland app on your visit day.

Use Single Rider Lines When They Make Sense

Single Rider can be a great time-saver for older kids, teens and adults who do not mind splitting up. You will not ride together, and you may not even be in the same ride vehicle, so I would not use it if the shared experience matters more than the wait.

Attractions that may offer Single Rider include Space Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster and Goofy’s Sky School. The lineup and hours can vary, so look for the sign at the attraction or ask a Cast Member.

My favorite use of Single Rider is usually Radiator Springs Racers when everyone in the group is old enough and okay riding separately. The regular line can be long, and it gives us another option besides spending the morning there or buying Single Pass.

Plan Around Holiday Entertainment Without Overplanning

Parades, fireworks and nighttime entertainment change how people move through the park. Sometimes a nearby ride wait improves. Sometimes the pathways become more crowded and harder to cross. I would never count on a parade automatically making every wait shorter.

• If you are watching the parade: Pick a viewing area that makes sense for what you want to do next. A beautiful spot is not very helpful if it leaves you trapped on the wrong side of the park.
• If you are skipping the parade: Check the app for an actual opportunity instead of assuming one will appear. Stay on the side of the park where you already are.
• Before fireworks: Remember that Fantasyland attractions and pathways can temporarily close or change access during fireworks. Ask a Cast Member if you are unsure how to reach your next ride.
• After entertainment: Give the crowd a few minutes to move. This can be a nice time for a snack, a nearby attraction or a slow walk in the opposite direction.

The Best Holiday Rides to Prioritize

Haunted Mansion Holiday

This is one of the biggest seasonal ride priorities. If it is important to you, rope drop it, make it an early Lightning Lane selection or watch for a better standby wait late in the evening. I would not keep putting it off all day and assume the line will magically disappear.

“it’s a small world” Holiday

I love riding after dark because the outside lights are part of the experience. You do not necessarily have to wait until nighttime for the ride itself, though. If you find a good wait or Lightning Lane during the day, ride it and come back later to enjoy the lighting moment outside.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Rise is not a holiday overlay, but it still deserves special planning. It remains popular, is sold separately as Lightning Lane Single Pass and may stop operating before other attractions. If this is a must-do, take care of it earlier instead of saving it for the final hour.

Cars Land After Dark

Cars Land is one of my favorite places to be after dark during the holidays. The decorations and neon are so much fun. Plan a return visit in the evening even if you already rode Radiator Springs Racers earlier in the day.

What Usually Works Better Later at Night?

Late night can be wonderful, especially once families with younger kids start leaving. Haunted Mansion Holiday, Indiana Jones Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and some Fantasyland attractions may improve later. Peter Pan’s Flight is usually a better late-night choice than an early-morning one for me.

But this is not a guarantee. Check current waits and attraction availability. If you are already exhausted, forcing one more ride is not always worth it. Holiday Disneyland is supposed to be fun, not an endurance test.

You can generally enter an attraction queue right up until the park’s posted closing time, but operating conditions can change. Confirm the attraction is accepting guests before you save your most important ride for the very end.

Stop Crisscrossing the Parks

This might be my most practical advice. Disneyland looks small on a map, but walking from Space Mountain to Haunted Mansion and then back to Matterhorn adds up fast. During the first couple of hours, group nearby attractions together.

• Tomorrowland: Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Star Tours and Autopia
• West side: Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
• Fantasyland and Toontown: Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo, Snow White, Matterhorn and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
• Cars Land and Avengers Campus: Radiator Springs Racers, Mater’s, Luigi’s, Guardians, WEB SLINGERS and Monsters, Inc.

A perfect plan on paper is not perfect if you spend the whole day power-walking past the holiday decorations you came to see.

A Simple Sample Plan for Disneyland

Here is an example of how I would think about the day. This is a framework, not a strict schedule:

1. Arrive at security 45 to 60 minutes before opening.
2. Rope drop your one top-priority ride.
3. Make a useful Lightning Lane selection after entering the park.
4. Ride two or three nearby attractions while waits are building.
5. Slow down around lunch. Enjoy holiday food, characters and decorations instead of fighting the busiest part of the day.
6. Use Lightning Lane selections and flexible attractions in the afternoon.
7. See your must-do holiday entertainment or use that time to check real-time waits nearby.
8. Finish with one or two late-night priorities if your family still has the energy.

What If Your Plan Falls Apart?

It probably will change at some point. A ride may be temporarily unavailable, a return time may not work or someone may desperately need a churro. That is normal.

Keep a short backup list for each area of the park. If Indiana Jones is down, do not stand outside refreshing the app for 30 minutes. Ride Jungle Cruise or Pirates, grab a snack and check again later. You are not failing because the park is busy. You are adjusting.

Disneyland Holiday Ride Strategy FAQ

How early should I arrive at Disneyland during the holidays?

I recommend arriving at security 45 to 60 minutes before the posted park opening. That gives you time for security, the entrance gates and the walk to your rope-drop area.

Is Lightning Lane Multi Pass worth it during the holidays?

It can be, especially if your family wants several popular rides and your park day is busy. It is not required for a good trip, though. A strong rope-drop plan, smart geography and realistic priorities still matter.

Should I rope drop Haunted Mansion Holiday?

Yes, if it is one of your family’s biggest holiday priorities. You can also use Lightning Lane Multi Pass or watch for a better standby wait later. I would give it a real plan instead of hoping to squeeze it in at the end.

Should I wait until dark for “it’s a small world” Holiday?

The exterior is especially beautiful after dark, but you can ride whenever the wait works for you. Come back later to enjoy the lights even if you already rode during the day.

Can I do both parks in one holiday day?

You can, but you will need to narrow your priorities. Do not try to complete both parks. Choose a few must-dos in each one, pay attention to your eligible park-hopping time and leave room for the holiday atmosphere.

My Final Advice

Choose one important ride for the morning, use Lightning Lane with intention and stop walking across the park for every attractive wait time you see in the app. Then leave room for the things that make the holidays special: the lights, music, treats and those little moments you cannot schedule.

You will not ride everything, and that is okay. A successful Disneyland day is not the one with the longest ride list. It is the one where your family had fun and nobody cried because you made them sprint to Space Mountain. That includes the adults.

Disneyland November 2026 Crowd Calendar

November crowds do not move in one straight line. The month changes quickly, and a weekday is not automatically quiet. Ticket prices, school calendars, special events, weather and attraction closures can all affect attendance.

November 1–2: Final Fall Offerings

Halloween Time ends October 31, but Plaza de la Familia continues at Disney California Adventure through November 2. You may still see a few fall details while crews begin the enormous overnight transition to Christmas. Visit these dates for the last Día de los Muertos offerings, not for the complete holiday season.

November 3–12: The Holiday Transition

This can be a useful period for guests who care more about attractions than Christmas entertainment. Holiday decorations will begin appearing, but the full seasonal lineup does not officially start until November 13. Some attractions may also be unavailable while their overlays are installed. Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11, so the days around it may be busier than an ordinary midweek visit.

November 13–22: Holiday Season Begins

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort officially begin Friday, November 13. Opening weekend will attract guests who want to be among the first to see the decorations, entertainment and food. Weekdays after opening weekend may be more manageable than Thanksgiving week, but the new seasonal offerings will still draw local visitors.

November 23–29: Thanksgiving Week

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. Expect elevated crowds throughout the week as schools close and families travel. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving through the weekend can be especially busy. This is still a wonderful time to visit if you want the holiday atmosphere, but arrive early and plan your highest-priority experiences before the trip.

November 30: After Thanksgiving Weekend

Crowds may begin easing after the holiday weekend, but do not count on an empty park. December visitors, local passholders and holiday entertainment can keep attendance active.

How I Would Plan a November Park Day

• Arrive before park opening. The first hour gives you the best chance to experience several attractions before waits build.
• Choose your first Lightning Lane carefully. Indiana Jones Adventure, Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion Holiday can develop later return times quickly when available.
• Prioritize seasonal attractions. Haunted Mansion Holiday and "it’s a small world" Holiday are especially popular once Christmas begins.
• Mobile order early. Holiday food launches can make popular locations much busier than normal.
• Use a midday break when needed. November sunsets are early, so you can return in the evening and still enjoy plenty of nighttime lights.
• Check the Disneyland app. Entertainment schedules and character appearances vary by date.

Disneyland Weather in November

November weather in Anaheim is usually comfortable, but temperatures can change significantly between the afternoon and evening. The average high is about 71°F, and the average low is approximately 56°F. November averages around 0.63 inches of rain spread across roughly four days, although your actual trip could be completely dry or include a storm.

Warm or windy days are still possible, especially earlier in the month. Check the forecast again a few days before your trip. I would pack layers even when the afternoon forecast looks warm because the temperature can drop quickly after sunset.

Disneyland Events in November 2026

Plaza de la Familia Through November 2

Plaza de la Familia continues at Disney California Adventure through November 2. The celebration inspired by Coco includes music, colorful décor, the Memory Wall and tributes to Día de los Muertos. Disneyland Park also continues its Día de los Muertos display near Rancho del Zócalo through November 2.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort Begin November 13

Thanksgiving at Disneyland

Thanksgiving falls on November 26 in 2026. I have visited Disneyland for Thanksgiving and genuinely enjoyed it. The parks are fully decorated for Christmas, and many table-service and quick-service restaurants usually offer a seasonal meal or Thanksgiving-inspired dish.

Do not wait to make dining plans. Table-service reservations normally open up to 60 days in advance and popular Thanksgiving meals can disappear quickly. Disney will release the exact 2026 menus closer to the holiday. My Disneyland Thanksgiving guide has additional advice.

Disneyland Ride Closures in November 2026

Disney had not published the complete November refurbishment calendar when this post was updated in August 2026. A November visit often has fewer major refurbishments than late winter, but that does not mean every ride will be open.

• "it’s a small world": The regular attraction normally closes in late October or early November while the holiday overlay is installed. Disney had not posted the exact 2026 closure dates, but the holiday version is part of the seasonal lineup beginning in November.
• Indiana Jones Adventure: Scheduled to close for refurbishment beginning September 8, with no reopening date announced at the time of this update.
• Mark Twain Riverboat: Scheduled to close beginning September 8, with the reopening date still listed as to be determined.
• Silly Symphony Swings: Currently closed for refurbishment with no confirmed reopening date.

These statuses may change well before November. Check Disneyland’s official calendar approximately 60 days before your visit, then confirm again in the app on the morning of your park day.

What to Expect at Disneyland in November

• An early sunset: Daylight Saving Time ends November 1, so holiday lights become a major part of the park atmosphere by early evening.
• Changing park hours: Hours may be shorter on some early-November weekdays and longer around the holidays. Check your exact dates.
• A fast seasonal transition: Decorations appear quickly after Halloween, but the full holiday entertainment lineup does not begin until November 13.
• Popular holiday attractions: Haunted Mansion Holiday and "it’s a small world" Holiday can have long waits, particularly later in the day.
• Food announcements closer to the season: Disney usually releases the complete holiday foodie guides shortly before the celebration begins.
