Fantasyland In Disneyland

Walt Disney said it all when he dedicated Fantasyland in Disneyland:

“Here is a land of imagination, hopes, and dreams. In this timeless land of enchantment, the age of chivalry, magic, and make-believe are reborn and fairy tales come true. Fantasyland is dedicated to the young and the young at heart, to those who believe that when you wish upon a star your dreams do come true.”

– Walt Disney, July 17, 1955⁣

Attractions in Fantasyland in Disneyland

Dumbo- Fantasyland In Disneyland

There’s so much to see and do in Fantasyland! It’s a great place to start your day if you have little ones, especially if they are very young, a little timid or it’s their first visit. Here are all the rides located in Fantasyland. ⁣
Some of the rides can be scary for little ones. I’ve noted them below along with a few notes that might be helpful. Check out my Disneyland Ride and Attractions Guide for a detailed list of all the attractions at the Disneyland Resort.

-Alice in Wonderland(This line can get very long! Because of this, avoid it during midday. Head here first thing in the morning if to beat the crowds.)⁣

-Casey Jr. Circus Train⁣

-Dumbo the Flying Elephant(This is a great one for kids of all ages. It’s a good one to start the day with.)⁣

-“it’s a small world” (Avoid mid day it it’s hot outside or use a Genie Plus if the lines are long!)⁣

-King Arthur Carrousel⁣

-Mad Tea Party(this line always moves quickly. This ride is especially fun at night when it’s all lit up!⁣)

-Matterhorn Bobsleds(Must be 42″. Use Genie Plus if lines are long or Rider Switch if you have young children who can’t ride. This ride can be very jerky, even for older kids and you will see and hear the Abominable Snowman which may be scary for some children)⁣

-Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride⁣

-Peter Pan’s Flight(This line is always long! Don’t go on it first thing in the morning(unless you are staying at an on property hotel and have Early Entry. I recommend riding this in the evening when it’s cool. Grab a treat to eat in line to help pass the time)⁣

-Pinocchio’s Daring Journey⁣

-Snow White’s Enchanted Wish(This ride is a little dark and spooky. It may frighten some children)⁣

-Storybook Land Canal Boat

– Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough

Don’t forget to take a moment to appreciate the immersive theming and attention to detail in each attraction, from the whimsical architecture of Sleeping Beauty Castle to the intricate scenery of “it’s a small world.” The attention to detail all around Fantasyland in Disneyland is incredible!

Fantasyland In Disneyland Tips and Tricks

Sword In The Stone- Disneyland

Here’s a few things of my favorite tips and tricks, plus a couple of things to look for.

-Early morning and late evening tend to be the least crowded times to visit Fantasyland. Consider arriving right when the park opens or staying until closing to enjoy shorter wait times for popular attractions.

-Don’t miss the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough! It’s magical.⁣

-Stay away from the Peter Pan attraction in the morning(unless you have early entry)! The line is always long. Don’t waste your valuable morning time here. Instead, ride it in the evening or right when they reopen it after fireworks so you can avoid waiting in the longest lines and the heat.

-Keep your eye out for hidden Mickeys. They are everywhere!⁣⁣

-Watch the window above Snow White’s Enchanted Wish for a peek at the Evil Queen.

-Look up and notice the unique weather vanes on top of all the dark rides. ⁣⁣

-Attempt to pull the sword from the stone in front of King Author’s Carousel. ⁣⁣

-Visit again at night, if time allows. Because there’s nothing quite like Fantasyland when it’s all lit up at night!
