Jack Jack's Num Num Cookies

Straight from the Disney Parks, these delicious cookies will take you right back to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 1 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup White Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chunks

Instructions

  • Brown Butter- Cut butter into chunks to help it melt evenly. Cook on medium-low heat and stir frequently. Heat until butter just starts to brown and has a "nutty" smell. There will be some some brown bits on the the bottom. This is good! They have lots of flavor. Stir frequently and don't let it burn! If it turns black, it's burnt and you need to start again. Remove butter from heat and allow to cool. You can add it to the fridge to speed up the process. Once it's starts to solidify, you're good to go!
  • Cream butter, sugars and salt.
  • Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until light and fluffy.
  • Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Add chocolate chunks and stir to mix in.
  • Roll dough into balls or shape into baking cups and chill for 1 hour or overnight.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes until golden brown on the edges.

Notes

I made our cookies small, but you could make them large like they do at the Disney Parks. You won't be disappointed either way!
