Make the Buttercream Frosting
In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine softened butter, half of the powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt.
Mix on low speed until well combined.
Add the remaining powdered sugar and mix on low until incorporated. If the frosting appears dry, add a small amount of water or milk.
Increase the speed to medium and whip for about one minute, or until the frosting is light and fluffy.
Pipe the Frosting Egg
Transfer the buttercream to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
Print and place an Easter egg template under a piece of parchment paper.
Pipe stars around the outline of the egg, then fill in the center.
Carefully transfer the frosting egg to your serving board.
Decorate the Egg
Use M&M’s, Robin Eggs, or other candies to create a colorful Easter design on the frosting.
You can also experiment with different piping techniques, such as rosettes or swirls, to make your frosting egg even more intricate.
For extra color, consider tinting the frosting with pastel food coloring before piping.
Assemble the Buttercream Board
Arrange the dippers around the frosting egg, starting with larger items first.
Fill in gaps with smaller items like chocolate candies.
Consider placing some of the candy in small bowls to create a visually appealing spread.
For added texture and depth, stack cookies at different angles or layer pretzels in a crisscross pattern.
Serve & Enjoy!
Serve immediately or cover loosely with plastic wrap until ready to serve.
To enjoy, simply dip cookies and treats into the buttercream and savor the sweetness!
