Disneyland Candy Canes 2026: Dates, Locations & How to Get One

Disneyland’s handmade candy canes are back for the 2026 holiday season, and if you’ve ever wanted one, you’ll need a little planning! These giant peppermint candy canes are made by hand in Disneyland’s candy kitchens and sold in very limited batches. I’ve got the full 2026 dates, where to go, and exactly how the wristband process works so you can give yourself the best chance of getting one.

Updated October 19, 2026: The 2026 candy cane dates have been posted! The first release is November 27 at Disneyland Park. Candy Palace and Trolley Treats have different dates, with both shops scheduled for December 22 and 24. What’s the Hype About Disneyland’s Candy Canes?

Disneyland has been making candy canes by hand since 1968, with each piece being a labor of love. These oversized candy canes are known for their rich peppermint flavor, beautiful red-and-white twists, and a nostalgic holiday appeal. Since they’re made in limited batches and are available only on select dates, they’ve become a collector’s item for Disneyland fans and holiday enthusiasts alike.

Where Can You Get a Disneyland Candy Cane?

Handmade candy canes are available at two spots in Disneyland Resort:

1. Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park.
2. Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure.

Each park offers candy canes on different dates, so planning is essential!

1. Disneyland Handmade Candy Cane Dates for 2026

Here are the 2026 Disneyland candy cane dates announced at the candy shops. Be sure you have admission and a park reservation for the park you plan to visit, if required by your ticket.

Candy Palace & Candy Kitchen — Disneyland Park (Main Street, U.S.A.)

• November: 27 and 30
• December: 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 22, 24 and 25

Trolley Treats — Disney California Adventure (Buena Vista Street)

• November: 28 and 29
• December: 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22 and 24

Good to know: Both parks are scheduled to make candy canes on December 22 and December 24. Disneyland Park is also scheduled for December 25, but California Adventure is not. These are special release dates, not an everyday holiday treat, and all dates are subject to change.

2. Arrive Early!

If you’re serious about getting a handmade candy cane, I wouldn’t plan on strolling into the candy shop later in the morning. There are very limited quantities on each release date, and wristbands can go quickly. Aim to arrive at the park gates about an hour before the posted opening time, then head to the correct candy shop once you’re allowed in. Check the Disneyland app for that day’s park hours.

3. Get a Wristband (No Mobile Waitlist in 2026)

For 2026, Disneyland is using in-person wristbands for the chance to purchase a handmade candy cane. There is no mobile waitlist, no QR-code sign-up and no mobile ordering for these candy canes.

Go directly to Candy Palace at Disneyland Park or Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure on one of that shop’s scheduled dates. Follow the Cast Members’ directions for the wristband line. Everyone who wants a candy cane should be present in person. Disney’s limit is one candy cane per guest per day, while supplies last. A wristband is a chance to purchase, not a guarantee.

4. Purchasing Your Candy Cane

Once you receive a wristband, follow the instructions from the Cast Members at the shop, including any return time they assign. Purchases must be made in person, and there are no discounts, exchanges or refunds. The 2026 price hasn’t been confirmed; recent years’ candy canes have cost around $25. These oversized peppermint treats are fragile, so protect yours carefully while you enjoy the park!

My Best Tips for Getting a Disneyland Candy Cane

• Pick your date and park first. Candy Palace and Trolley Treats have different dates. Double-check the 2026 schedule above before making plans.
• Get there early. I’d aim to be at the park gates roughly an hour before opening, especially on a busy holiday date. Wristbands and candy canes are limited.
• Head straight to the right shop. It’s Candy Palace on Main Street in Disneyland Park or Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure. A Cast Member can direct you to the current line.
• Bring everyone who wants one. The posted limit is one per guest per day, and wristbands and purchases are in person. Don’t count on one person getting candy canes for the whole family.
• Follow your wristband instructions. Keep track of any return time or instructions from the candy shop. There is no mobile waitlist or QR code to join in 2026.
• Keep your candy cane safe. These are big, breakable treats. Consider a locker or another safe place to store yours if you’re spending the day in the park.

What if you don’t get a wristband? You can ask a Cast Member whether any additional candy canes might become available, but I wouldn’t count on a specific afternoon resale time. The 2026 announcement doesn’t promise one.

Can I order a handmade candy cane in the Disneyland app? No. For 2026, these special handmade candy canes require an in-person wristband and purchase.

Can I buy more than one? The limit is one per guest per day, while supplies last.

Does a wristband guarantee a candy cane? No. Disneyland describes wristbands as a chance to purchase, with very limited quantities.

Are they available on Christmas Day? Yes, December 25 is scheduled at Candy Palace in Disneyland Park, but not at Trolley Treats.
