If you’ve been looking at hotels near Disneyland, there’s a good chance you’ve come across Hotel Lulu. I recently stayed there for a few nights during a Disneyland trip, and I wanted to share what it was actually like.
The short version? I really liked Hotel Lulu, and I think it’s a great option for a Disneyland trip.
Hotel Lulu is close enough to walk to Disneyland, has a fun Southern California feel, a cute pool area and convenient food options. The location is also fantastic. You’re near Walgreens, CVS and multiple restaurants, so it’s easy to grab snacks, drinks, sunscreen or a meal without getting in your car.
For me, the walk took about 10–15 minutes depending on how I hit the stoplights, and I found it very manageable. Between the location, amenities and fun atmosphere, Hotel Lulu quickly became a hotel I would feel good recommending to Disneyland visitors.
Disclosure: Hotel Lulu hosted my stay. As always, all opinions are my own.

My Quick Hotel Lulu Review
Hotel Lulu is a great fit for Disneyland visitors who want a walkable hotel that feels like part of the vacation instead of simply a place to sleep.
I loved the bright lobby, the pool area and having several ways to get food without going far. The walk was easy and straightforward, and it was close enough that returning to the hotel for an afternoon break felt completely realistic.
I think Hotel Lulu offers a really nice mix of location, comfort, convenience and amenities. I felt comfortable there, enjoyed the personality of the hotel and would happily stay again on another Disneyland trip.

Where Is Hotel Lulu?
Hotel Lulu is located on Harbor Boulevard, south of the main Disneyland pedestrian entrance and near the Anaheim Convention Center.
This is one of my favorite areas to stay around Disneyland because you can walk to the parks and have so much nearby. Hotel Lulu is close to Walgreens, CVS and multiple restaurants, which is incredibly convenient when you need snacks, bottled water, sunscreen, medicine or an easy meal. You don’t need to get in your car every time you need something.
Hotel Lulu is also an official Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel, which means it meets Disney’s standards for nearby accommodations, although it is independently owned and operated rather than a Disney hotel.
How Long Does It Take to Walk From Hotel Lulu to Disneyland?
For me, it took about 10–15 minutes to walk from Hotel Lulu to Disneyland.
Honestly, the biggest factor was the stoplights. If I hit the lights just right, the walk was pretty quick. If I seemed to hit every red light, it was closer to 15 minutes.
The route is easy. You walk north on Harbor Boulevard toward the Disneyland entrance. There aren’t any confusing turns or side streets to navigate.
Hotel Lulu is not directly across the street from the entrance, but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the walk felt. If you have young children, a stroller or slower walkers in your group, you may want to give yourself a little extra time, but the route itself is simple and straightforward.
I personally found the walk very manageable. It was also close enough that going back to the hotel for an afternoon break felt realistic.
First Impressions of Hotel Lulu
One thing I noticed right away is that Hotel Lulu has more personality than your average hotel near Disneyland.
The lobby is bright and colorful with a fun Southern California feel. There is plenty of seating, and it feels a little more like you’re on vacation instead of simply staying somewhere for the night.

The front desk can also hold your luggage. That is always something I look for when I’m staying near Disneyland. If you arrive before your room is ready or have time after checkout, you can leave your bags at the hotel and head to the parks instead of losing valuable Disneyland time.
The Hotel Lulu Delivery Robot
Hotel Lulu also has a little robot that travels through the hotel delivering things like extra towels to guest rooms.
I happened to catch it making its way through the hotel during my stay, and it was so cute. Is a towel-delivery robot going to be the main reason you book a hotel? Probably not. But kids will definitely think it’s fun!

Rooms at Hotel Lulu
Hotel Lulu offers rooms with either one king bed or two queen beds. The rooms have a modern, comfortable style that fits the rest of the hotel’s Southern California vibe.
Standard room amenities include:
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- In-room refrigerator
- 55-inch flat-screen television
- In-room safe
- Hair dryer
- Large shower-tub combination
- Iron and ironing board available upon request
- Feather or synthetic pillow options
During a Disneyland trip, I especially appreciate having a refrigerator for drinks, snacks and leftovers. After spending the day in the heat and walking around the parks, it was nice to have a comfortable place to cool down, eat and recharge.
If a microwave, specific bed type or accessibility feature is important to you, check the exact room description and confirm it with the hotel before booking.

The Hotel Lulu Pool
I really loved the pool area at Hotel Lulu. There is an outdoor pool with resort-style seating, fire pits and plenty of places to relax outside.
I’m a big fan of taking afternoon breaks at Disneyland, especially when it’s hot. Having a pool makes that break feel like part of the vacation instead of simply going back to the room.
You could spend the morning in the parks, walk back to Hotel Lulu, swim and rest for a few hours, and then return to Disneyland in the evening. Since the walk was only about 10–15 minutes for me, that felt very doable.

Breakfast and Room Service at Hotel Lulu
Hotel Lulu has several food options, which I really appreciated.
Lulu’s Kitchen serves breakfast daily, which makes it easy to grab something before heading to the parks. Breakfast is not automatically included with every reservation, so check what comes with the specific rate you’re booking.
I also ordered room service one night during my stay. The process is handled through CAMO Eats. I scanned a QR code, chose from available nearby restaurants and had my meal delivered to the hotel.
The room-service setup is a little different because you can choose from available nearby restaurants, but it was incredibly easy and convenient. After a full Disneyland day, the last thing I wanted to do was go back out looking for dinner. Being able to order something and eat in my room was exactly what I needed.
There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance along Harbor Boulevard if you want more options.
Other Hotel Lulu Amenities
- Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
- 24-hour fitness center
- Coin-operated guest laundry
- On-site EV charging
- Outdoor fire pits and entertainment space
- On-site parking
- Luggage storage
Guest laundry is one of those amenities you may not care about until you suddenly really need it. If you’re traveling with kids or staying for several days, having laundry available at the hotel can be very helpful.
What You Need to Know About Hotel Lulu Parking
Parking is another cost to include when you compare hotels near Disneyland.
Get Away Today currently offers discounted parking when you book Hotel Lulu through them.
That discount can make a noticeable difference over a multi-night stay, so it is worth comparing the complete package price instead of looking only at the nightly room rate.
Offers can change, so double-check the current parking details for your travel dates before booking. You can also call 855-GET-AWAY and let them know Mix In Some Magic sent you.
This is also why I always tell people not to compare Disneyland hotels using only the nightly room rate. Look at the full cost, including:
