I was able to stay at The Anaheim Hotel recently(formerly The Anaheim Plaza Hotel) and I’m so happy to share my full review with you! I was so excited to stay at this property. If you’re visiting Disneyland soon, you’re definitely going to want to consider The Anaheim Hotel. This 3 diamond property is right across the street from Disneyland and near the Anaheim Convention Center. I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels around the Disneyland Resort in Orange County and this is one that I’d happily stay at again! The great location and range of amenities are hard to beat!
Please be aware that Disneyland requires park tickets and a park reservation in order to enter the parks. If you’re looking for the best deals on hotels and discount Disney tickets check out my partners at Get Away Today here. Please don’t pay full price for your park tickets! Location
When I say this property is right across the street from Disneyland, I’m not joking! It is located within easy walking distance. It was only a 7-minute walk to the main entrance from the theme parks. This makes it the perfect location! It’s just a short walk from Downtown Disney too. No shuttle service is needed!
Rooms
The Anaheim Hotel has many spacious rooms to choose from. You can choose a room with two kings, two queens or two double beds. They also have family suites available. We stayed in a room with two queen beds.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Comfy beds are important at the end of a long park day! The room was much more spacious than I had anticipated, which was nice. There was a desk small desk with a chair, a mini-fridge, a microwave, and an extra chair in the corner.
The bathroom was small but functional. I didn’t appreciate the scale in the bathroom though! I’d rather not think about the weight I’m gaining while I’m on vacation! The scale was one of my only complaints though, and it’s just my personal preference. There was a large mirror right outside the bathroom which was helpful when you have multiple people trying to get ready for the day.
My favorite part of the room was the private courtyard. This was a small area, but it was fully enclosed and was the perfect place to sit out and relax or let the little ones play a bit while you’re busy getting ready for your day in the parks.
Pool And Outdoor Space
The Anaheim Hotel has the largest pool in the Anaheim resort district. It’s olympic size! Your family will love it! I suggest blocking off some time to enjoy it. This is the perfect place to take a break from the parks when they start feeling a little too crowded. The pool is heated and they also have a hot tub!
You’ll be able to dine poolside if you like. You can choose from refreshing beers, soda, pizza, and snacks. Price ranges from $3-14.
Onsite Dining
The Anaheim Hotel has quite a few dining options on-site. Free breakfast is not offered, but you can purchase breakfast on-site. It’s really nice to be able to grab a quick bite to eat after a long day at Disneyland on your way back to your room.
The Pizza Press
This onsite restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, they serve breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, yogurt parfaits, muffins, and bagels. The lunch and dinner menu includes delicious pizza, wings, salads, and yummy desserts!
The Front Room Lounge
If you’re looking for a quick grab-and-go breakfast, this is the place for you! They also have a full bar and lots of great food options. They have shareable appetizers, entrees, and great desserts! Try their deep dish cookie with vanilla ice cream! It’s delicious.
Room Service
If you’d like to relax in your room, you can order room service! Room service is available 7 days a week from 6 am- 10 pm. Why not have breakfast delivered to your room to enjoy while you’re getting ready for the day?
Amenities
The Anaheim Hotel has lots of extra amenities that really impressed me. They have tons of self-parking along with valet parking. There’s a bell service at the front desk that handled our luggage since we arrived before our room was ready. They have a Lobby Bar, 24-hour fitness center, a business center, an on-site laundry room, and a fun outdoor area with family-size lawn games. You’ll also be able to enjoy common areas with nine acres of landscaped gardens and walkways.
I was really impressed with all that The Anaheim Hotel had to offer. Best of all may be the great price for their guest rooms! They offer so much more than many hotels near Disneyland and their prices are often lower! The close proximity to Disneyland, friendly staff, and clean rooms make this a great choice for the whole family.
