A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers – Main Street Cinema
Step inside the historic Main Street Cinema to experience “The Last Verse,” a heartwarming new short film celebrating the 60th anniversary of the beloved song “It’s a Small World.” This film showcases a newly revealed final verse written by Richard M. Sherman, his last Disney contribution. Beginning July 17, 2025, this verse will also be added to the “it’s a small world” attraction at Disneyland, making it a must-see moment for Disney history enthusiasts.
New Main Street Opera House Exhibits
In celebration of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary, the Main Street Opera House will host an all-new gallery showcasing the evolution of Disneyland. Curated by Walt Disney Imagineering and the Walt Disney Archives, this exhibit will feature never-before-seen images, artwork, and artifacts chronicling the park’s rich history.
A second exhibit will delve into the history and advancement of Audio-Animatronics technology, with interactive displays showing how Walt Disney’s innovations continue to shape theme park storytelling today.
As an extra-special touch, The Walt Disney Family Museum has loaned more than 30 artifacts, including items from Walt’s private apartment above the Fire Station on Main Street. These never-before-displayed treasures include his original rocking chair, lamp, and table, as well as prestigious awards such as his 1955 Emmy, 1964 Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Walt Disney Commemorative Medal.
“Paint the Night” Parade at Disneyland Park
Making its grand return, the fan-favorite “Paint the Night” parade will illuminate Main Street, U.S.A., with over a million brilliant LED lights. This dazzling nighttime parade features beloved characters and stories from Disney and Pixar films, including “Frozen,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Cars,” and “Toy Story.” Guests can look forward to innovative floats, vibrant costumes, and unforgettable music. It’s a visual love letter to Disneyland, bringing guests together through shared memories of The Happiest Place on Earth.
