In this post, I’ll go over all the options with you so you can choose the best way for your family to get to Disneyland without a car. We’ll cover everything from ride hare to car rentals and maybe even a few options you hadn’t considered. Traveling to Disneyland is a big deal. There are so many things to think about and plans to make. This post will outline your transportation options so you have one less thing to worry about. Getting to Disneyland without a car is easy!

If you still need to book your flight, you might be wondering which airport you should fly to for your Disneyland Resort vacation. I fly to Disneyland from my home state of Utah about once a month, so I’ve used different transportation to get around Disneyland. There are quite a few options to get to Disneyland without a car, from shuttles and ride shares to taxis and limo rentals. This post will help you decide how to get to Disneyland without a car. Traveling to Disneyland without a car is a good idea. Trust me. Driving to Disneyland may seem like the default choice, but it comes with a hefty price tag. One of the most significant benefits of opting for alternative transportation methods is the money you’ll save. Say goodbye to those expensive parking fees that can quickly eat into your entertainment budget. Instead, redirect those funds to splurge on Disney merchandise or treat yourself to a delectable Mickey-shaped ice cream!

Moreover, not driving means you won’t have to worry about the rising cost of gas, especially if you’re coming from a considerable distance. Public transportation, ride-sharing services, or shuttles can offer cost-effective alternatives, leaving you with more funds to spend on Disneyland’s memorable experiences. How To Get To Disneyland Without A Car

Getting to Disneyland without a car isn’t hard, but it does take some advanced planning. Unfortunately, Disneyland does not offer transportation to and from the airports in the Disneyland area. DisneyWorld used to have Disney’s Magical Express that picked up guests staying at on-property hotels from the airport and took them to their hotel. Many guests who have visited Walt Disney World assume that Disneyland will offer this as well, but that’s not the case. Disneyland guests are responsible for finding their own transportation to the resort from the airport.

Keep in mind, at this time, most of these options for getting to Disneyland without a car do not have car seats for your children. You must provide your own car seat. Some private car services do have the option to rent a car seat. Ensure you bring your car seat from home or contact the transportation company you will be using to see if they have available car seats. If you have older children, there are some excellent travel booster seat options on Amazon that don’t take up much space.

This list of options to get to Disneyland without a car isn’t in any particular order. These options are available from any of the Disneyland resort area airports.

Rideshare(Uber/Lyft/Wingz)

Rideshare service has become popular for getting to Disneyland without a car. It may be the easiest way to get to Disneyland. Whether you’re staying at a nearby hotel or exploring the park for the day, ride-sharing apps like Uber and Lyft offer a seamless transportation experience. Let’s walk you through the process of using ride-sharing services to embark on your magical journey to Disneyland.

1. Download the App: Start by downloading the ride-sharing app of your choice from the app store on your smartphone. Create an account and input your payment information for a smooth transaction.
2. Enter Your Destination: Open the app and enter “Disneyland” or your nearby hotel as your destination. The app will automatically detect your current location and calculate the estimated fare and arrival time to the park.

Using ride-sharing services to reach Disneyland is a modern and efficient way to travel without the hassle of driving. Rideshare is my favorite option from Orange County area airports to Disneyland. This might not be the most cost-effective option if you have a larger family or group.

Taxi

Taking a Taxi to the Disneyland Resort area might be an excellent option for your Southern California vacation. It’s a great option for getting to the Disneyland resort without a car. Taxis offer a direct and hassle-free ride to the magical world of Disneyland and are usually parked right out front of the airport and ready for you to hop in. This is an attractive option for many travelers. Let’s explore why using a taxi can be a smooth and enjoyable experience for your Disneyland adventure.

1. Door-to-Door Convenience: Taxis provide the luxury of door-to-door service, picking you up from your current location and dropping you off directly at the Disneyland Resort entrance. My favorite shuttle service by far is Karmel. Karmel Shuttle provides door-to-door airport shuttle van services to and from Anaheim-area hotels, John Wayne Airport, Long Beach Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Universal Studios Hollywood. They make getting to Disneyland without a car so simple!

If you are at the SNA airport, check out the EVE shuttle. The Anaheim Resort Transit runs EVE. EVE is an on-demand shuttle that will take you from the SNA airport to your Disneyland area hotel. This is a good option for many guests because it’s convenient and cost-effective. 

Whether you’re traveling solo, with family, or in a group, a Shuttle Service’s competitive pricing, and child-friendly services make it a reliable and cost-effective option. 

Public Transportation

Traveling to Disneyland without a car by public transportation is not my favorite option or the fastest way to get to Disneyland, but it is an affordable option. Let’s explore the details of using public transportation to reach the Happiest Place On Earth. 

1. Trains: Trains offer a comfortable and scenic ride to Disneyland. Many major cities have train stations with direct routes to Anaheim, making it a convenient choice for travelers. If you’re flying into LAX, you’ll be in downtown los angeles, so this might be a good option for you, although you’ll need to transfer to a bus at some point. If you’re flying into one of the closer airports for your Disneyland vacation, a train will not be an option for you. Make sure you purchase your train ticket in advance online before you get to the train station,
2. Buses: Buses are a reliable mode of transportation, with numerous bus routes connecting to Disneyland. Regional buses often have stops near the park, allowing you to hop off just a short walk from the entrance. 

To ensure a smooth journey, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with the public transportation details:

1. Nearby Train and Bus Stations: Check for train stations or bus stops near your departure location. Many major cities have easily accessible transportation hubs that offer direct routes to Anaheim.
2. Schedules and Timings: Review the schedules and timings of trains and buses to plan your journey efficiently. Take note of the departure and arrival times to avoid unnecessary waits and ensure you make the most of your time at Disneyland.
