Valentine’s Day at Disneyland Decorations
Valentine’s Day does not go unnoticed by Disneyland, but it is not celebrated in the same way that the Holidays or Halloween is celebrated. You can expect some heart decorations scattered here and there. There will be hearts all around the Mickey Mouse head made of flowers at the entrance, which is a great photo op! The Disneyland decorations will give you all the Valentines feels, but it won’t be overwhelming.
Valentine’s Day at Disneyland Photo Spots
You need to get some lovely pictures to celebrate love day! Don’t miss the iconic shot by Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. If you could snag it at sunset it would be even better! A picture at the entrance by the Mickey Mouse floral is a great idea. In years past, there’s a few photographers the have special Valentines Day signs they will let you hold. This probably won’t be happening this year, but hopefully they will bring it back in the future.
Valentine’s Day at Disneyland Treats
Disneyland wouldn’t be Disneyland without the treats! There will be yummy Valentines day treats that you won’t want to miss. Check the Disneyland app to find out what’s available and where you can find it. This year they had heart shaped beignets, a special Valentine’s Day Dole whip and some strawberry churros! All were delicious!
Valentine’s Day at Disneyland Merchandise
Disney is famous for themed merchandise! There won’t be a ton of selections, but there will be some. Keep your eyes open for adorable Valentines Day finds that you can’t live without! This year they have some adorable Minnie Mouse years that are too cute to pass up!
Valentine’s Day at Disneyland Dining
If you’re looking for a romantic dinner in the parks I recommend checking out the swanky Napa Rose inside Disney’s Grand Californian. If you’re looking to stay in the parks and enjoy a special Valentine’s dinner the Blue Bayou in Disneyland will not disappoint! Request a table near the water for the ultimate romantic atmosphere. Carthay Circle Lounge would be an excellent choice in California Adventure. I strongly recommend you make reservations for any of these restaurants. Especially on Valentines Day! Reservations can be made 60 days in advance.
Minnie’s Scavenger Hunt
Last year, Minnie had a special scavenger hunt adventure set up and this year should be no different! You can search the parks for special Valentines that Minnie has hidden for Mickey! The game board and stickers cost about $7.00. You can buy your Minnie Mouse Valentine Scavenger hunt at one of these locations.

Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts Nite
If you want to make your Valentines Day extra magical consider attending Sweethearts Nite! This special event will feature fireworks, dancing, Character greetings, photo ops, special food, after hours access to the park and a sweet keepsake. Guests are encouraged to dress their magical best! You can find out more info here.
