Reservations for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disneyland are highly recommended! This is a very popular experience and it books up quickly. Reservations can be made 60 days in advance. I suggest you make them as soon as you can! You can make reservations on the Disneyland website. A valid credit card is required to hold your reservation at the time of booking. Your credit card will not be charged before your visit. However, a $10 cancellation fee will be applied to your credit card for all no-shows or reservations not canceled within 24 hours of the appointment.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique At Disneyland- What You Need To Know

Here’s what you need to know before your princess makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disneyland Park. A valid theme park admission ticket and reservation are required in order to participate. Makeovers are only for children 3-12 years of age.

The Bibbidi bobbidi Boutique is located in Fantasyland right as you walk through Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. It is open for makeovers from 8:00 am-6:00 pm. While the boutique remains open until the park closes, the salon’s last makeover reservation is at 6:00 PM each day.

Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early so you can get checked in by the cast member. Make sure children arrive with clean and brushed hair and no nail polish. Makeovers take anywhere from 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending on the package you choose.

When you arrive, Children will choose their hairstyle, dress, and accessories(depending on what comes with the package you’ve selected). You’ll meet your own fairy godmother apprentice who will take you back to the salon and get started with your makeover! Your child will wear a cape over their clothing during the makeover and the fairy godmother appreciate will provide them with a plastic face shield to keep hair spray and water out of their little eyes. Your little one will have their hair and nails done, but won’t be able to look in the mirror until the transformation is complete.

The big reveal is the best part! During the makeover, the mirror in front of their chair has been covered with a curtain. When it’s time, the fairy godmother apprentice will have your child say some magic words and the curtain covering the mirror will magically open revealing your little prince or princess! The mirror is full of magical sparkles and there’s music to accompany the whole moment. It’s pretty magical, you’ll want to have your camera ready!

Saving Money At The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique At Disneyland

Makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disneyland can be expensive, but there are ways to save a little bit of money. We like to book the lowest package and bring our own dress from home. One year for Christmas, I bought my little girls beautiful princess dresses(on clearance!) and we took them to Disneyland with us in January when they did the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It was perfect and saved us a lot of money!

You can also skip the packages with photo sessions and your own photo shoot around Disneyland after your princess transformation. There are Disney photo pass photographers all around the Disneyland resort who are happy to take some pictures of your child after their royal treatment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disneyland. You can find photographers using the Disneyland app.

Tips For Visiting The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique At Disneyland

Here are some tips for visiting the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique At Disneyland that will be helpful for you!

Try to book your reservation for earlier in the day(between 10 am-12 pm is ideal). This way you can take advantage of the lower crowds and attraction wait times in the morning before heading to your makeover. Then, after the makeover, you’ll have plenty of good daylight hours to get some pictures taken, meet the Disney princesses and enjoy your day at Disneyland.

We like to make our makeover day at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique our “princess day” while we’re visiting. I schedule our appointment for the morning and then we spend the day meeting the Disney princesses, taking pictures, and exploring Fantasyland. We like to have a meal at the Red Rose Tavern while they’re all dressed up because it’s Beauty and the Beast-themed and so fun there!

Make sure you have your child use the bathroom and have a snack before their makeover. It’s more fun to turn into a fairytale princess when you’re not hungry!

I like to make our appointment on the first day of our trip. They use a ton of hairspray and gel at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disneyland and my little girls hair will last for days after their makeover. So, they can enjoy their princess hair for our whole visit!

We brought our own princess shoes from home to wear in the pictures and while we were meeting the princesses, but I did have my girls change back into their tennis shoes afterward. Walking around Disneyland all day in princess shoes might not be a great idea!
