Discount Disneyland Packages

Planning a trip to Disneyland can be so exciting! There are lots of things to consider and plan for. I’m sure your family is incredibly excited about their upcoming vacation. However, if you’re a plus-size person you might be feeling a little anxious about the idea of fitting on some of the rides and attractions. You’re probably wondering if there are weight restrictions for rides at Disneyland?

Weight Restrictions For Rides At Disneyland

Plus-size guests(or pooh size as some Disney fans like to call themselves) needn’t feel worried about visiting the Disney parks. Guests of any weight and height are able to ride on all of the attractions. Disneyland does not have weight limits for any of its attractions. Guests do need to fit properly in the ride restraint systems for safety reasons, but other that’s the only stipulation. Hooray! No more worrying about a weight limit on rides at Disneyland. Now you can just worry about having a great time.

Although Disney parks do their best to make their attractions accessible to people of all shapes and sizes, there are certain attractions and queues that plus-size guests or tall guests might find uncomfortable or challenging. Even though there’s no weight restrictions for rides at Disneyland, there’s still some things to consider when visiting Disneyland as a plus size guest. In this post, we’ll talk about some of the different attractions guests of larger size will want to be aware of and a few things you can do to feel more comfortable while you’re visiting Disneyland.

Discount Disney Park Tickets

Discount Disneyland tickets

Please don’t pay full price for your Disney park tickets! Discount tickets are available through my friends at Get Away Today. Their tickets are always discounted off the gate price! I’ve been using them for 15 years and I won’t buy my tickets anywhere else. They have great deals on hotels too! Use The Disneyland App

Make sure you have the Disneyland App downloaded onto your phone and use it to your advantage! You can use it to check wait times, mobile order food, and find drinking fountains and bathrooms. It’s really a handy little tool that makes a big difference. There’s no reason to walk across the park to check the wait time on Splash Mountain! Save your feet and check the wait times using the app.

Use Genie Plus

Disney Genie Plus at Disneyland

Genie Plus is the new system that has replaced the old Fastpass/max pass system. Genie plus allows you to book lightning lanes via the Disneyland app. You can then access the ride on select attractions through the lighting lane. Generally speaking, the lighting lane has a much shorter wait time. This will save you time in line, which is always a good idea! Genie plus is an additional $20 per person per day. It includes photo pass. You can find out more information about it here.

Wear Comfortable Clothes/ Shoes

You’re going to be spending a good portion of the day in the parks. You want to be comfortable. Today is not the day to wear the sequined evening gown and the high heels! Save those for a different occasion. Make sure you’re wearing something that you’re comfortable wearing climbing in and out of rides.

Choose a pair of shoes that you know make your feet feel good. You’ll likely be walking between 3-10 miles each day. The shoes on your feet can make or break your vacation! I like to bring a couple of different pairs of comfortable walking shoes and rotate between them each day. This seems to help my feet feel less tired and sore.

Stay Hydrated

I know, I know… everyone always talks about staying hydrated. But, there’s a reason! It’s so important. Staying hydrated will make you feel great. When you feel great you’ll be able to have a great time on your vacation! Plus, hydration can really help with swelling.
