Where To Meet The Princesses At Disneyland Park
There are quite a few places you can meet the princesses on your Disneyland vacation! I’ve included all the different options on this list. Or, maybe your little girls and boys would rather wave to the princesses from a distance. If that’s the case, I’ve also included info on seeing the princesses in the parades and cavalcades.
Fantasy Faire
Fantasy Faire is probably the best area to meet the princesses at Disneyland. It’s located in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. You’ll be able to meet them at the Royal Hall, catch a princess show at the Royal theater, browse a princess-themed shop and enjoy the atmosphere. If meeting princesses at Disneyland is high on your list, this is the place you need to be!
Royal Hall
Royal hall is located in Fantasy Faire. This is the perfect place to meet the princesses on your visit! You wait in line once and will meet three princesses. The princesses rotate and you won’t know who you’ll meet until you walk around the corner and see them! Princesses are available to greet guests from 10 am-5 pm daily. Check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit to make sure the times haven’t changed!
Because this is the most popular place to meet princesses at Disneyland, wait times can get a bit long. But, it’s worth it to have a princess meet and greet! The princesses take a lot of time with each guest and make everyone feel special. You’ll have time to take pictures and get your autographed book signed.
Royal Theater
The Royal Theater is the perfect place to catch a quick show starring a Disney princess! Currently, they have two different shows. Rapunzel and Beauty and the Beast. They alternate throughout the day. Check the app for show times. I recommend arriving about 20-30 minutes early. Children will be invited to sit on the ground in front of the stage so they can have the best view!
Pro Tip: If you hang around after the show, you can meet the star! Just stay inside the theater after the show and hang out for about 10-15 minutes. Guests will clear out and cast members will block off the entrance so that no other guests can enter. At this point, the princess who was in the show will come out and greet the guests who waited for her! This is usually a pretty small group because most people don’t know about this. So, now that you know, make sure you hang around and meet the princess after the show!
Snow White’s Wishing Well
Snow White’s Wishing Well is a great place to run into a princess. There’s no set schedule, but if you walk by there during the day, occasionally you will spot a princess hanging out there and you can get in line for a visit.
Pixie Hollow
I know that Tinker Bell isn’t technically a princess, but your little ones might want to meet Peter Pan’s best friend! You can find her greeting guests in Pixie Hollow. This area is pretty adorable! Pixie Hollow is usually open from 11 am- 4 pm. Check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit so you’ll know when she’s available to meet guests.
Fantasyland
When you’re visiting Fantasyland, you never know who you’ll run into! Sometimes the princess will be out wandering around and saying hello to guests. There’s no set schedule for these interactions. So, feel lucky if you happen to run into your favorite Disney princesses or the fairy godmother!
Parades/Cavalcades
You’ll catch a lot of princesses performing in the parades and cavalcades. Watching one of these is a great way to catch a glimpse of them! This is a great option for families with children who may not be comfortable meeting the princesses in person but would prefer to wave at them from a distance. You can check parade times using the Disneyland app.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
You don’t meet any princesses at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but this is the perfect place to get ready for your visit with them! What could be more fun than a Disneyland princess makeover? At the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, your little ones can be transformed into little princesses and princes themselves! You can find more information about the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique here.
Where To Meet The Princesses At Disney California Adventure Park
There are not as many places to meet the princesses over at California Adventure, but you can still find them when you’re in that park! This is the place where you may find the more rare princesses too.
If you’ve got a fan of the princesses from Frozen in your group, this is the place for you! Elsa and Anna greet guests inside the Animation Academy building. They’ve got their own reception area for greeting guests and you’ll feel like you’re in Arendale! They are usually available to meet guests from 9 am to 4 pm each day. Make sure you check your Disneyland app on the day you’d like to visit for exact times.
The wait time for this experience can get long, they will be shorter earlier in the day. So, if you can, try to enjoy this experience in the morning when lines will be a bit shorter.
Paradise Garden Grove
Over in Paradise Garden Grove during the Lunar New Year Celebrations, you can often find Mulan! You can find more information about Lunar New Year at Disneyland here.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail has been home to Raya from Raya and the last dragon. This is the perfect place to meet and chat with this princess from the movie! During the holiday season, this spot is occupied by Santa, but during the other times of the year, you can expect to find Raya greeting her fans.
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures
Located at the Napa Rose inside Disney’s Grand Californian hotel, this 3-course meal includes delicious food and activities with some of your favorite princesses!
From the Disneyland website: Kids can let their imaginations soar during one-of-a-kind Princess-themed activities. Upon arrival, Disney Princesses are waiting to greet you and share your hopes and dreams prior to taking a photo on a beautiful private patio. You may take part in storytime with Belle or learn some fierce warrior poses with Mulan. Young adventurers are presented with a special keepsake to take back to your home kingdom to remember their magical morning!
The dining room at this Disneyland character breakfast is beautiful, and the character interactions with the princesses are pretty special.
Breakfast includes a 3-course meal with things like 3 tier tower of appetizers, princess waffles, and royal desserts.
You can expect to see many of your favorite princesses who will be available for pictures!
The cost is $125 for adults and kids. Kids under 3 are free.
I’ve got a full guide to character dining at Disneyland that might be helpful for you!
Sweethearts Nite
Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts Nite is a great place to see the princesses and their prince! This is a special event that requires a separate ticket. It’s usually held around Valentine’s Day at Disneyland. This special event features fireworks, dancing, Character greetings, photo ops, special food, after-hours access to the park, and a sweet keepsake. Guests are encouraged to dress their magical best!
Tips For Meeting The Princesses At Disneyland
Here are a few tips that will be helpful when meeting the princesses at Disneyland.
Arrive Early: Visiting the Princesses at Disneyland is a popular experience and lines will get long. It’s always a good idea to try to meet them earlier in the day whenever possible. Lines will be shorter and your children won’t be tired from a long day at Disneyland. This will make for a better experience when you meet the princesses at the Disney parks.
Bring A Princess Dress From Home: You might want to look your best when you meet your favorite princess! Of course, you can purchase princess dresses at Disneyland, but I prefer to save a bit of money and bring one from home. In the past, my little girls changed into dresses right before we met the princesses at Disneyland. It just makes the experience a little extra special.
What To Say: Meeting the Disneyland princesses in real life can be a little bit overwhelming! Let your children know that they don’t need to say anything if they don’t want to. They can just smile and wave. Or, if they’re comfortable with the idea they can give their princess friends a high five or a hug. While you wait in line, help your child think of different things they can ask the princesses. You could ask Sleeping Beauty if she takes a nap every day. Ask Cinderella if glass slippers hurt her feet. Ask Ariel if she prefers the land or the sea. The possibilities are endless!
Take Lots Of Photos: Be ready to take lots of pictures when you’re interacting with the princesses! Often, there will be a Disney photopass photographer there to take pictures of the special moment, but sometimes there is not. If no photographer is available, you can ask a nearby cast member to take your picture. They are happy to help!
Use The Disneyland App: The Disneyland app is a useful tool when you’re looking for specific characters at Disneyland. Whether you’re trying to find Mickey Mouse, Captain Hook, or a specific princess, the Disneyland app is a great tool. You can find more information about how to use the app to find your favorite Disneyland characters here.
